Castar is a gaming coin used in Gondor.
Diameter: 26 mm
Material: zinc alloy
The obverse shows Minas Tirith, the White City and capital of Gondor, built upon the slopes of Mount Mindolluin. This legendary city became the stronghold of Men against Sauron. The reverse bears the White Tree of Gondor, the ancient symbol of Númenórean kingship and a sign of hope.
The inscriptions read “Gondor” and the famous line: “There may come a day when the courage of men fails… but it is not this day!” written in Sindarin (Na vedui, ú-reniaf beleg en-ened… dan ú-siu!).
