Krasnaya armia – Shashka – Šaška WW2

Softened WW2 Cossack Shashka – foam Cossack sword / saber for larp and cosplay. Shashka it’s both very elegant and comfortable in the hand. The head is a casting of a real historical weapon.

This model was used by the Red Army in the 1930s and 1940s. If you play with it and want to be historically accurate, the inscription CCCP means that the weapon cannot be before 1922 – and of course even after 1990.
It is typically a side weapon of the Cossacks fighting during World War II. Of course, at that time the saber was a bit of a relic, but it was worn by officers, for example, and it was, of course, worn by the Cossack cavalry, which during WW2 did mainly reconnaissance, or rapid cavalry attacks across the front to the rear of the enemy.
The design respects a certain roughness of production and patina. The metal parts of the handle are in bronze and the handle is in the natural color of ordinary wood. On the head of the handle are the symbols star and sickle and hammer – and the inscription CCCP (USSR). Patination makes the handle of the arms of an ordinary soldier who has gone through various situations with a saber. When you compare it with the „Shashka“, which is also in my offer, you can see that „Shashka“ is nice, decorated, while „Krasnaya armia“ is much more ordinary.
