Sting – Sting
Sting – Sting named the sword Bilbo won over the trolls they had petrified with Gandalf. It was originally an elven dagger, but to Bilbo’s hobbit the size, it was just a hobbit sword. Sting then became Frodo’s weapon on his way with the ring, and when Sam was attacked by Odula, he killed her with this sword.
But in reality it is similar to the Gallic / Hispanic or short Greek swords from which it is derived.
Short softened sword for larp, one-handed.
70 cm
390 g
Like our short gladius, it has a short, but relatively wide and massive blade, a 12 mm fiberglass core, so it hardly springs at all and is perfectly manoeuvrable.
Material
The sword is multi-layered. The body is a durable flexible composite PU foam. Softer to the touch, but tough, flexible and durable. When you bend or squeeze it, it returns. Fiberglass core with Kevlar coating around the tip. Thanks to this, the sword is practically impossible to break. It can withstand large bends and really big blows, it can be used to reliably attack and cover direct hits. The surface is made of stiffer durable silicone rubber. The hilt is made of a slightly stiffer rubber. The shield does not have a hard core, it is soft, flexible and tough. Even in a hard contact fight, you won’t hurt anyone. It is tested and certified for safety and does not contain any harmful substances.
