Diameter: 27 mm

Material: zinc alloy

Shape: octagonal
The dwarves of Erebor minted their Golden Lords from the vast gold veins of the Lonely Mountain. Coins were not only a medium of trade, but also symbols of dwarven pride and craftsmanship. Since Durin the Deathless is the most revered of all dwarf-kings, his portrait and name adorn their most prestigious coin.
This coin is large and octagonal, reflecting the wealth of the dwarves who could afford heavy gold currency. The obverse shows King Durin’s portrait along with the emblem of Khazad-dûm (Moria): seven stars arranged in a circle. Around the edge is the inscription: “Kibil-u-zaram zaag-u-zirakul gazath” – “We shaped the world with metal and hammer.”
The reverse features the Gate of Erebor and the key symbols of the third dwarven kingdom – the Iron Gate – with inscriptions naming all three dwarven realms.
Durin’s golden coin is ideal as fantasy currency for board games, RPG campaigns and LARP, a film or stage prop, or a collectible piece for any dwarven treasure hoard.
