Jian – krátký meč pro larp
Jian is a short double-edged and stabbing straight sword used in China for the last 2,500 years. These swords are also sometimes referred to as “tai-chi swords”, because today they are mostly used as tai-chi training weapons. But it is an excellent training weapon for other disciplines – the sword is quite stiff, completely safe, easy to handle and fencing well. Among other things, it is an excellent practice sword / toy for children.
You get two identical jian swords that allow you or your children to practice and exercise.
Length 73 cm, weight 240g
The first Chinese sources to date jian to the 7th century BC. Historical versions have blades varying in length from 45 to 80 centimeters (18 to 31 inches) in length. The weight of an average 70 centimeter (28 inch) sword was in the range of about 700 to 900 grams (1.5 to 2 pounds).
